Kimberly Towers

If you ask Kimberly Towers, she will say she has been a couture designer for over 20 years; in actuality it’s been closer to 30. Always an artist, her passion for design started at the age of 12 when she slept with a sketchbook next to her bed, compiling thousands of sketches, waking often at night with new ideas and inspiration. At the age of 14, Kimberly met Ms. Marano, an amazing Italian fashion designer-turned-art-teacher who took her under her wing and cultivated her talent. Through intense independent study during her high school career, she then went on to pursue higher education at Marist College, where she received her degree in Fashion Design and merchandising with many accolades and apprenticeships in NYC specializing in couture evening wear. While in the university, Kimberly began her fashion career at a high end design house in NYC and continued after graduation.

Noted for her exquisite taste and innate draw to haute couture, Kimberly was awarded as one of the top 10 young designers in the United States and was asked to represent the US in an international competition in which she showed her design at the Louvre in Paris. A chance meeting lead to her moonlighting for a Couturier and Kimberly soon fell in love with working one-on-one with individuals and designing especially for their needs.

Never losing her couture roots, she left the city and brought her custom designs to life on Long Island. In 2008 Kimberly launched her own line under her namesake Kimberly Towers.

Kimberly has designed for thousands including many socialites, celebrities, and all around lovers of true couture. Her timeless designs as well as Kimberly herself have also been featured on Bravos “Real Housewives of New York“ several times.

A supporter of philanthropy, her designs have also walked the runway at countless charity fashion shows and events.

In 2010, Kimberly partnered with long time friend and talented associate Blanca Fuentes to create their own world filled with the finest fashion. RUNWAY COUTURE

Blanca Fuentes

Trained in technical fashion design beginning at the young age of 12, one could say fashion is in her blood. Blanca Fuentes studied fashion design, pattern making and construction in El Salvador and upon coming to the U.S. as a teenager, she continued her studies, mastering fashion design and construction in NY. During this time, she received numerous awards and was featured in multiple regional publications for her work. Blanca's skills attracted the attention of the university, who offered her a teaching position shortly after graduation. She continued to spread her knowledge and passion to the fashion students for several years.

A true couturier, Blanca used her expertise as pattern maker and technical designer for the next 12 years, dressing and fitting custom clients on Long Island and creating stunning gowns, dresses, and suiting.

Though Blanca no longer teaches collegiate-level fashion, she still enjoys cultivating the talent of our aspiring young designers.  Her mentorship has inspired countless apprentices, many of whom find themselves a permanent part of the Runway family.

Her magic touch is well known and undeniable to any that work with her.
